Suspended Senator Patrick Brazeau arrested in Quebec: report

TORONTO – Suspended Senator Patrick Brazeau was arrested in Gatineau, Que., early Thursday morning, according to a report.

Brazeau was arrested on Boulevard Labrosse around 4 a.m., and is facing charges of assault, possession of cocaine and uttering death threats, according to Radio-Canada.

Brazeau was suspended from the Senate last November for allegedly collecting allowances and expense claims he was not entitled to.

He was formally charged by the RCMP in February with fraud and breach of trust.
